Expanding Table Tennis ACT's Reach: New Venues in 2024
Published Sat 30 Mar 2024
With the Kingston Table Tennis Centre experiencing high demand every day, TTACT has been diligently searching for suitable venues to cater to its expanding membership base.
Alfred Deakin High School, conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the Kingston centre, has been secured for hire on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 to 10:30 PM. This spacious venue provides a very good setting for competitions, including Pennant matches, with room for at least 10 tables.
Additionally, TTACT has secured Shirley Smith High School, situated in the new suburb of Kenny, to serve as a northside venue. Available on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5:30 to 10:00 PM, this modern sports hall has space for 9 tables to run various activities, including coaching sessions, competitions, and casual play, aimed at expanding membership in the north.
Alfred Deakin High School is available for immediate hire and Social Competitions have been organised for members in the first 2 weeks in April (see upcoming events). Pennant will be held at Alfred Deakin High School in Term 2 to cater for a larger Pennant (return to 4 Divisions) and free up table availability at Kingston. Activities at Shirley Smith High School will commence in School Term 2.
We look forward to this next chapter for TTACT with more opportunities to play and greater participation in our wonderful sport of table tennis.
