Backdrop to proposed constitutional changes

Dear TTACT Members

Further to Song's email to members of March 19, in advance of the forthcoming Special General Meeting, and with the substantial consultancy undertaken by Mike McGlaughlin having only recently been completed, the Board would like to share with you the results of that consultancy.

The main output for the club was the need to up-date the constitution generally (it having been adopted in 2008). Both ACT Sport & Rec and TTA support the modernisation project. For the sake of completeness, linked below are Mike's original draft, the draft after extensive review by the constitution working group as well as the final version to be voted on. 

In order to understand the proposed new constitution, the broader recommendations for TTACT's Governance are also important. These key reports are:

1. Governance Enhancement Project
2. Planning Framework Enhancement Project

The Board agreed in principle with all of the recommendations of the Planning Framework Enhancement Project.

The draft constitution versions are:

1) The original draft for TTACT Review from the consultant.

2) The first version emailed to members.

3) The version to be voted on at the Special General Meeting on 23 April.
