TTACT will be running their fourth "RC Challenger Round Robin" tournament on 8 September, at Tuggeranong Archery Centre. In this Division Singles event, players are allocated a table for a first round robin matches based on their Ratings Central rating, and then their second matches based on their performance in the first round. $50 of prizemoney is on offer fro any successful Challenger (top half of your table in the first round, and winning 1 match in the second round, or the overall winner).

It is an ideal competition for ACT competition, players who are not able to play weeknights, who want the opportunity to play people beyond a Pennant division boundary, or for players at nearby NSW clubs.

Matches for everying will commence at 9am on Sunday and and conclude by 1pm, when social players take over the tables.

All matches are the best of 5 games, with results being recorded in Ratings Central. The TTACT standard Tournament Conditions applies to this event. In particular, note that:

  1. Players must be either a TTACT Competition member, a member of an Affiliated State Association, or an Association Affiliated with ITTF.
  2. A forfeit at a tournament shall be deemed a loss against the forfeiter, except where an athlete withdraws before the start of an event.

Tables are Stiga Expert Roller, and balls will be DHS D40+ 3-star. The venue is the same venue now regularly used for the ACT pennant competition.

Numbers are strictly limited to 80 players (20 starting tables per round) for this event, and it will go ahead with at least 20 players. After listening to feedback, the registration is only $15 (with lower prize money).

A schematic for the 2 rounds in the event is given in the figure below. The first tound has 3 matches per player, and the second has 2 matches. The draw will be modified right up to match day, to make sure that almost all players are in groups of 4 (in case of withdrawals), especially on the high rating tables.
